We’re excited to share details for this year’s Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive, taking place August 8–10, 2025! An annual back-to-school drive to collect and deliver school supplies to students in need throughout SLO County.
New This Year: Our Atascadero drop-off location will be hosted at Mechanics Bank.
Now in its 17th year, this impactful event helps equip students from four local school districts with the supplies they need to succeed—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
We need:
Site Leads for each location (must complete a background check and be available all three days)
General Volunteers to assist with setup, greeting donors, organizing supplies, and engaging with the community
Adult Supervision: At least two adult volunteers must be present when high school students are volunteering. (Sports teams: A coach may serve as the site lead)
This is a fun, family-friendly event that directly benefits local youth—and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers like you.

• San Luis Obispo: Target & Staples
Volunteer Opportunities:
We’re currently recruiting volunteers to help staff seven drop-off locations across the county. Volunteers can sign up for one or more of the following shifts:
Friday, August 8
• Morning: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, August 9
• Morning: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, August 10
• Morning: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
