Track & Field - Alex Schindler
This year, Atascadero Spring Sports was full of ups and downs – but through it all, our student athletes showed resilience, determination and a whole lot of heart. From early morning practices to intense competition days, they demonstrated what it means to be a Greyhound.
All Sports
Swim made waves this season – literally and figuratively. The boys team placed second at CIF, a tremendous accomplishment reflecting months of hard work and team effort. Even more impressively, the girls swim team captured the CIF title, bringing home a championship that highlights not only their talent but also their dedication and teamwork. It was a historic season and a proud moment for the entire Atascadero athletics community.
Baseball battled their way through a competitive season, showing true character and improvement. Unfortunately, CIF would end early, however the team’s unity and courageous attitude was on full display. With valuable experience under their belts, they’ve set the stage for a promising future.
Softball delivered a season full of passion and persistence. With solid performances throughout the season and standout leadership from key players, the team built a strong bond and laid the groundwork for a competitive future.
Track & Field also brought the energy to every meet. From the explosive sprints to powerful throws and long-distance grit, our athletes pushed themselves to new limits. Many achieved personal records, and several made strong showings in league finals. Although their CIF journey didn’t extend too far, the team’s growth and dedication all season long speak volumes about their potential.
Boys golf showed skill and composure on the course, finishing a season with steady improvement and a focus of fundamentals. Several players delivered standout rounds, and the team held their own in a tough league, setting the stage for continued growth and success.
Boys volleyball entered this season as the defending CIF champions, carrying with them both pride and the high expectations that come with such a title. While their season may not have reflected the same as last year, the team showed heart and determination through every match. Though the season tested them in new ways, the Greyhounds never backed down, planning to return next year with more resilience than ever.
Every athlete who stepped onto the field, into the pool, on the court, and even the track this spring contributed to a season worth celebrating. Their effort, spirit, and sportsmanship have established a strong foundation, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year. Go Hounds!
