La Fortuna (EF Tour)

During a recent school trip to Costa Rica organized by EF Tours, one of the most memorable experiences was visiting the stunning La Fortuna Waterfall. Nestled in the heart of the rainforest near the town of La Fortuna, this breathtaking waterfall is a must-see for any nature enthusiast.

Upon arrival, we signed some papers and explored the area around the entrance. There were stores with a fantastic view of the top of the waterfall from afar. We could see the waterfall cascading down in the distance, giving us a glimpse of its grandeur before we made our way to the bottom.

To reach the base of the waterfall we had to descend a long, steep staircase. The climb down was quite easier than the climb back up, but the view was well worth it. The 70-meter (230-foot) cascade plunges into a crystal-clear pool, and the surrounding scenery with lush greenery and volcanic mountains made the experience even more amazing.

For those looking to cool off, the pool at the base of the waterfall offers a refreshing swim. The water was refreshing, and the chance to get up close to such a powerful natural wonder was thrilling. Whether taking in the view from the observation platforms or enjoying a swim, LaFortuna Waterfall was an unforgettable highlight of our EF Tours trip to Costa Rica.
