As seniors start to apply to colleges this fall, getting accepted into the college of their choice appears to be a more common thought to think of than anything else. While this is important, it’s also beneficial to consider the cost of a college’s tuition as it’s often a deciding factor as to whether students end up applying there or not. However, cost doesn’t have to be a barrier and there are in fact, many ways to help pay your way through.
One common way to help pay for the cost of college is with scholarships, which can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on how strict the requirements are. Even though some scholarships may be more difficult to receive than others, any amount of money earned from any scholarship counts as they all help lower the original cost of college that would’ve come out of your own wallet. In the following slideshow, there are 10 different scholarships available to all seniors within San Luis Obispo County that they may choose from, all with varying due dates and award amount earned.
