The 2024 Atascadero High School costume contest was a smashing success, as always. The event featured kids from all over campus dressed as their favorite characters, and even some of the teachers dressed up.
First off, for the best teacher’s costume, our theater teacher Ms. Volpa dressed up as the titular Nanny McPhee, from the film series of the same name.
Next up, for funniest, a student won first place for his buff maid costume. While not from a particular piece of media, it garnered plenty of attention nonetheless.
Then, for best duo costume, a pair of friends who went as Dipper and Mabel from the popular animated series Gravity Falls, stole the gold.
And for the scariest costume, an anonymous student showed up in a creepy clown costume, which was certainly a freight for those in the crowd.
Then, last but not least, the spot for best solo costume went to Lucy Peterson, who dressed as Fancy Nancy from the book series of the same name.
Thank you to all of the students who agreed to be interviewed for the video, we couldn’t do what we do without you guys. Another huge shoutout to PAWS for making this happen time and time again, thank you for making our campus vibrant and fun as always.
