The Consequences of Human Involvement
In modern times, rapid technological advancements and urbanization are transforming the way we live, work, and interact with our environment. While these changes bring numerous benefits, they also pose significant threats to our planet’s health. With increasing pollution, deforestation, and climate change, it’s more important than ever to support environmental preservation. As humans, we need to be more mindful of our natural resources, specifically in ways that don’t negatively impact our environments. The choices we make today will shape the world for generations to come. These challenges can feel overwhelming, leaving many of us with a sense of anxiety and helplessness. But in those moments of uncertainty, we must remember that small, mindful actions can lead to big change. Watch the videos and reflect: What can you do differently to start supporting our ecosystem?
Our Response
To acknowledge our concerns, we made these videos where we interviewed other students and compiled images together as a way to respond to the anxiety many of us feel.
In Wyatt’s project, “Climate Crisis,” the short film emphasizes the disastrous results of climate change. Watch Below:
In Steven’s project, “Nature’s Voice,” the short documentary highlights how nature plays a vital role in our economy and the dangers of lithium extraction. Watch Below:
By taking action now, we can ensure a sustainable future for generations to come, protecting the natural resources and ecosystems that are vital to human survival. If you want to help the both of us, along with other students at AHS, protect our planet, do your part; recycle, reuse, reduce, conserve, and find ways to use energy more efficiently. There is also an Earth Club in room 1306 every Tuesday where you can learn more about our home and meet others that similarly want to support the cause!
