Welcome To The Crib Of Hospitality 1

Has baking or cooking ever piqued your interest, or maybe you’ve considered learning it but don’t have the time or resources at home? If any of the above is true, Hospitality could be a class for you to look into. Hospitality offers a highly interactive experience with plenty of food to make—but what students really want to know is: how much work will it take?

Not to be frightened, the ratio of paperwork to food work is very night and day. You bake every single week and usually that’s 4 out of the 5 days with some classwork on the side and a daily warm up. Most of the first half of the class is pastries such as scones, puff pastries, cinnamon rolls, etc. and learning how to shape and bake them properly.

The second half of the class is more about bread such as challah, pizza bread, baguettes, a classic type of bread to make grilled cheese, and many more. This second half of the class with the bread focuses more on how they are supposed to be handled and baked.

By the end of the semester, you’ll not only have sharpened your baking skills but also built the confidence to take those skills beyond the classroom. Whether you’re dreaming of culinary school or just want to impress friends and family, Hospitality offers hands-on experience, real kitchen knowledge you even get certified as a food handler as well. This can help you land that summer job you have been thinking about. If you’re ready to turn curiosity into creativity, this is the class for you.
