I chose Mrs Patterson because I always found her class to be a very welcoming environment, and the ways that Mrs Patterson taught really stuck with me and I feel like I actually learned a lot in her class. Her ways of teaching were interactive and interesting and today I’m here to show you some of the fun ways we learned about world conflicts in her class. Starting off with WW1 where we talked about trench warfare, where Mrs Patterson had us get on opposite sides of the room and set up the chairs and tables like a wall, Then we crumpled up paper balls and started to throw them across the room, trying to get eachother out. It wasn’t the most educational experience but it sure got me a lot more interested in learning about trench warfare. She had a very nice personality and attitude that made going into her class not a dreadful experience, I had never felt as excited to learn about something before I had Mrs Patterson. She liked to do a lot of games and activities to help show certain events like when we were doing our totalitarianism unit, she had strict rules and we had to follow and if we broke them then we would get a mark. We had to call the teacher “The Boss” and if we referred to her as anything but that we would get a mark. Mrs Patterson wasnt mean or anything but this was a clever way of demonstrating the strict and cruel ways of Totalitarianism.
