Glazes are a important part of ceramics! Glazes add beauty and function to your piece making it go from a rough and more bumpy piece to a smooth glossy project after being fired in a kiln. They add all different colors and even textures to your piece while also making your artwork waterproof/ food safe.
A pottery wheels allows you to have a wide range in the creative aspect. They help you to shape clay to certain shapes like bowls, mugs, and vases. The spinning motion of the wheel allows you to center the clay to mold it with precision which is called wheel throwing.
