Halfway Across the Country
St. Louis, Missouri
During the summer, I had the opportunity to travel to St. Louis, Missouri. It was June 23rd, and we were at the San Jose airport bright and early in the morning. This was my first time boarding a plane and leaving California. I was accompanied by my dad, one of my friends, and my friend’s dad. Although I initially dreaded the idea of a three-hour trip, once we were in the air, I realized it wasn’t too bad. It was a smooth flight, no disturbances, just myself, slouching in my chair, enjoying the incredible view and silently watching a movie, waiting for our arrival.
A few hours later, we touched down in St. Louis and took an Uber to our hotel, which was conveniently located across the street from Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals Baseball Team. Our trip was well-planned, and for the next two days, the four of us enjoyed watching the baseball games and exploring the city of St. Louis. We were thrilled to watch the Cardinals win two out of three games, sample new food places, and even visit the Gateway Arch National Park to take in the breathtaking view. If I were to ever come back, I would 100 percent revisit both Busch Stadium and The Gateway Arch, although none of those experiences would feel better than the first. This vacation was fantastic and is something that I will definitely cherish forever.
